Towns Points are a way to reward active members of the Towns community. Most rewards are given when the protocol generates a fee—meaning the more the protocol earns, the more rewards it distributes. Additionally, users can earn points through membership purchases, tipping, daily check-ins, and participation in select Towns.

Here's how the system works:

1. Earning Points Through Memberships

When you purchase a membership, you earn points based on the price you pay.

Note: A 10% protocol fee is taken on all membership fees.

• Earn 2,000 points per 0.01 ETH spent

Additionally, the owner of the Town also earns points when someone purchases a membership in their Town.

Example Calculations:

• A 0.0005 ETH membership purchase earns 100 points (0.0005 * 2,000 / 0.01)
• A 0.01 ETH membership purchase earns 2,000 points (0.01 * 2,000 / 0.01)

2. Earn Points by Tipping

When you tip someone in ETH, you also earn points. The amount of points you receive is based on the amount of ETH tipped:

Note: A 0.25% protocol fee is taken on all tips.

Formula: 3333 * Tip Amount (ETH)

Example Calculations:

• Tipping 0.01 ETH earns 33.33 points (3333 * 0.01)
• Tipping 0.05 ETH earns 166.65 points (3333 * 0.05)
